Immortals (2018) Parents Guide: Is the series OK for kids?

The season contains several sexual situations, including implied sex scenes with thrusting motions and moaning, though graphic details or explicit nudity are typically avoided. Partial nudity, such as bare backs and breasts, is shown. There are also frequent sexually suggestive comments and innuendo, particularly from male characters.

Violence is strong and pervasive, featuring frequent vampire attacks with visible blood splatter, bites, and gruesome deaths. Characters are often impaled, decapitated, or shot, leading to significant blood and gore. Hand-to-hand combat is frequent and often brutal, with characters sustaining visible injuries.

Profanity is frequent and strong, including uses of 'fuck,' 'shit,' 'bitch,' 'whore,' and 'bastard,' often used in moments of anger, frustration, or during confrontational dialogue between characters. The language contributes to the gritty and adult tone of the series.

Alcohol is consistently consumed by characters, usually in social settings and sometimes to cope with stress or emotion. Cigarette smoking is also shown occasionally, especially by vampire characters who embody a more decadent lifestyle. There is no depiction of illicit drug use.

The series heavily explores themes of revenge, loss, immortality, and the struggle for power. Mia's quest for revenge against Dmitry drives much of the initial plot, while themes of existential dread and the moral ambiguity of immortality are also present. The dynamic between humans and vampires raises questions of prejudice and survival.
