Sex and nudity in Vikings

The season contains several scenes with sexual content, including implied non-consensual acts such as a character being forced into marriage and bearing a child (Ingrid and Harald). There are scenes of implied sexual encounters with partial nudity, and references to prostitution. Some scenes feature passionate kissing and embracing, as well as suggestive dialogue and innuendo related to power dynamics and relationships.

Violence and gore in Vikings

Violence is pervasive and graphic, featuring large-scale battles with swords, axes, and arrows resulting in frequent limb dismemberment, decapitations, and severe blood spatter. Characters are shown being tortured, including waterboarding-like methods and prolonged suffering. Hand-to-hand combat is brutal, and numerous characters meet gruesome deaths. Animal sacrifice is depicted graphically. There is occasional domestic violence and brawling outside of combat.
