Furies (2024) Parents Guide: Is the series OK for kids?

Sexual content is mostly mild, but one episode is set extensively in a brothel. This includes scenes of women in lingerie, suggestive conversations, and implied sexual activity, though no explicit nudity or sex acts are shown. Other episodes are largely free of sexual content.

The season contains strong, frequent, and often graphic violence. This includes intense gunfights with multiple fatalities, brutal hand-to-hand combat with visible blood and injuries, stabbings, and explosions. Characters are shot, stabbed, and suffer traumatic physical harm. Several scenes depict torture or implied torture, contributing to the high severity.

Frequent strong language is present, including F-bombs, S-words, and other expletives in both French and English dialogue. Characters curse in moments of anger, frustration, or during heightened action sequences. The language is consistent with the show's mature tone.

Alcohol consumption is casual and frequent throughout the season as characters drink wine, spirits, or beer in various social and professional settings. Smoking is also seen in multiple scenes, with characters frequently holding or lighting cigarettes. There is no explicit drug use or glorification of addiction.

Mature themes of revenge, loyalty, betrayal, and the harsh realities of organized crime are central. Characters grapple with the consequences of their actions and the cycle of violence. The emotional toll of their lifestyle, including loss and trauma, is explored, particularly for Lyna and Selma. Abduction and coercion are present within the criminal underworld context.
