Intruders (2014) Parents Guide: Is the series OK for kids?

Sexual content is mild, limited to implied sexual situations and passionate kissing. There is no nudity or explicit sex depicted on screen, though some scenes suggest sexual acts happening off-screen or lead up to them.

The season features strong and graphic violence, including stabbings with visible blood, characters being shot, and scenes of suffocation. There are disturbing depictions of bodies being disposed of, and occasional gore associated with supernatural elements or injuries. A child character is involved in violent acts, both as a perpetrator and a victim, adding to the unsettling nature.

Frequent use of strong language, including 'f**k' and its variations, 'sh*t', 'a**hole', and 'bitch', is heard throughout the season. These expletives are used in moments of anger, frustration, or fear by various characters.

Characters are sometimes seen drinking alcohol, often in social but occasionally in more distressed contexts. Smoking is also depicted by some characters. There is no significant depiction of illegal drug use or addiction as a plot point.

Central themes include identity, death, and the unsettling concept of living beyond one's own body. The series explores grief, loss, and the psychological impact of having one's consciousness altered or invaded. Child endangerment and philosophical questions about what constitutes a person are frequently raised.
