Study Group (2025) Parents Guide: Is the series OK for kids?

None. Sexual content is absent from this season. There is no nudity, suggestive dialogue, or overt sexual situations depicted or implied.

Violence is strong and frequent, primarily consisting of intense hand-to-hand combat and group brawls within the high school setting. Fights often involve multiple assailants against a single character, resulting in visible injuries like bruising, cuts, and blood. Characters are severely beaten, kicked, and thrown. Weapons are occasionally implied or briefly seen, though direct use is less frequent than physical assault. The violence is portrayed as realistic and impactful, with consequences like hospitalization.

Profane language is severe and pervasive. Characters frequently use strong expletives, including the 'f-word,' 's-word,' and various other curses, often in dialogue during confrontational scenes or expressions of frustration. Casual and aggressive profanity is present in nearly every episode.

Smoking is moderately depicted, with characters, notably gang members, seen smoking cigarettes. There is also implied underage smoking within the school environment. The series does not explicitly glorify substance use but presents it as part of the delinquent high school culture.

The series heavily features themes of bullying, gang violence, and corruption within a school system. Characters endure significant physical and emotional abuse from peers and older gang members. Issues of poverty, family hardship (e.g., caring for a sick grandparent), and social injustice are also explored as motivations for characters' actions and the difficult choices they make.
