Furia (2021) Parents Guide: Is the series OK for kids?

A brief, non-explicit intimate scene occurs in one episode, showing two characters in bed together under covers with no nudity. Other sexual content is mild, limited to romantic tension and a character wearing a short bathing suit.

Violence is strong and frequent, depicting shootouts, explosions, car chases, and hand-to-hand combat. Several characters are killed, sometimes graphically, with visible blood and injuries. A crucial scene involves torture, showing a man being waterboarded, which is intensely disturbing. The season culminates in a terrorist attack with mass casualties, shown with chaos and destruction.

Frequent strong profanity is used throughout the season, including multiple uses of 'f**k,' 'sh*t,' and other expletives, particularly during intense action sequences or moments of high stress. Characters use derogatory terms when expressing anger or frustration.

Characters are occasionally seen drinking alcohol, typically in social settings or to cope with stress. There is no depiction of drug use or glorification of excessive alcohol consumption, and it does not drive the plot significantly.

Central themes include political extremism, domestic terrorism, national security threats, and deep-seated ideological conflict. Characters grapple with betrayal, the moral compromises of espionage, and the personal toll of their dangerous work. The series explores the manipulation of public opinion and the spread of dangerous rhetoric online.
