Bodyguard (2018) Parents Guide: Is the series OK for kids?

The season contains moderate sexual content. There are two instances of implied sexual encounters with some partial nudity (rear male nudity, a woman unfastening her pants and touching herself without full nudity). These scenes are not explicit but convey sexual activity.

Violence is strong and graphic at times, featuring multiple shootouts, a major bombing incident with significant casualties, and close-quarters combat. Injuries are depicted graphically, including blood and visible trauma. Several characters are killed, sometimes suddenly and brutally.

Strong language is frequent and pervasive throughout the season, including regular use of 'fuck,' 'shite,' and other expletives. Characters often use profanity under stress or in angry outbursts.

Mild alcohol consumption is present, with characters occasionally seen drinking beer or wine, mostly in social or private settings to cope with stress. There is no depiction of illicit drug use or heavy intoxication.

The series deals heavily with mature themes of terrorism, paranoia, political corruption, and the psychological impact of war and violence, particularly PTSD experienced by the protagonist, David Budd. There are also themes of betrayal and personal integrity under extreme pressure.
