AnnDroid (2020) Parents Guide: Is the series OK for kids?

Sexual content is moderate. There is a brief shot within an android factory depicting naked men and women with blurred genitals (breasts are visible). Additionally, a quick, non-graphic sex scene shows a woman's bare breasts and buttocks. While less frequent than Season 1, these instances are explicit.

Violence is mild and sporadic. Androids are shown being shot on several occasions, exhibiting realistic-looking blood, but they are otherwise depicted as recovering or being functional. There is no sustained gore or intense brutality.

The dialogue contains occasional use of mild profanity and derogatory language typical of a crime drama setting. Stronger expletives are used sparingly during high-tension confrontations.

Characters frequently consume alcohol in social settings at local bars and restaurants. It is also used periodically by human officers as a coping mechanism to deal with the stress of police work.

This season delves into complex themes around the creation and control of artificial intelligence, questioning the ethics of using sentient beings. Characters grapple with issues of identity, memory, and the blurred lines between human and machine. There are underlying tones of existential dread and the potential for technological overreach.
