Trolls Band Together is officially rated PG. Bontent's independent parent guide recommends it for ages 6+.

Trolls Band Together follows Branch as he reunites with his estranged brothers to rescue Floyd, who has been kidnapped by two pop-star villains. The film received a PG rating primarily for mild rude humor and suggestive moments involving characters in romantic relationships or playful banter. Parents should be aware…

There are occasional suggestive jokes and visual gags, such as characters' bare bottoms and references to romantic relationships. Bridget and Gristle share a passionate kiss, and there is light innuendo about characters being 'tied up' on a honeymoon.

Violence is limited to mild, stylized slapstick action consistent with the franchise's cartoon aesthetic. Characters are occasionally pushed or captured, but there is no graphic injury, blood, or lasting harm.

Language is mild, including uses of 'hell' in song lyrics and several bleeped-out profanities. A character is referred to as a 'succubi', and there are occasional name-calling moments like 'idiot'.

There are fleeting references to substance use, including a character mentioning alcohol to friends and a pacifier referred to as 'contraband'. These moments are brief and treated with little narrative importance.

The film explores themes of family estrangement, abandonment, and the pressure of fame. The primary conflict involves the exploitation of a family member, which creates a sustained sense of worry but resolves happily.

Trolls Band Together runs 91 minutes, directed by Walt Dohrn, released in 2023.
