Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank is an animated action-comedy following Hank, a dog who attempts to become a samurai to save a village of cats from a ruthless official. The film received a PG rating primarily for persistent slapstick violence, rude humor, and mild suggestive themes. Parents should be aware of frequent…

The film contains fleeting suggestive humor, largely consisting of wordplay and mildly provocative poses typical of slapstick comedy, but lacks explicit content.

This film features frequent, stylized cartoon violence, including martial arts combat, sword fighting, and explosions. While intense, these sequences avoid blood or realistic injury, and the characters almost always bounce back unharmed.

Mild, infrequent profanity is present, including terms like 'hell' and various insults directed at characters.

There is a recurring plot point involving 'catnip,' which is portrayed as an addictive substance for the feline characters, resulting in intoxicated behavior.

The narrative explores themes of prejudice, as Hank faces systemic discrimination for being a dog, alongside typical underdog tropes of self-doubt and redemption.

Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank runs 94 minutes, directed by Rob Minkoff, Chris Bailey, Mark Koetsier, released in 2022.
