Shrek Forever After follows a frustrated Shrek as he enters a magical bargain with Rumpelstiltskin, resulting in a dark alternate reality where he never existed. Parents should be aware of thematic elements regarding identity crisis and the erasure of Shrek's family, as well as several scenes of intense, albeit…

Mild; there is a brief shot of a naked baby witch showing buttocks, and occasional mild innuendo.

Moderate, animated violence. Characters use swords, magic, and physical combat, including a climactic battle. We apply the animated modifier as these are stylized, non-human characters with no lasting realistic injury shown.

Mild; includes infrequent terms like 'hell' and 'ass-napped' used in a comedic, non-profane context.

Brief, mild; characters consume what appear to be fermented beverages at various celebrations throughout the film.

Moderate; the plot centers on Shrek's mid-life crisis, feelings of abandonment, and the existential dread of being erased from history. Fiona and other ogres face captivity and enslavement, and Shrek experiences intense sadness.

Shrek Forever After runs 93 minutes, directed by Mike Mitchell, released in 2010.
