Sexual content is moderate to strong. There are explicit sexual situations, including implied intercourse, passionate kissing, and nudity (e.g., bare breasts, buttocks) in non-graphic contexts. Characters are shown in various stages of undress, often in illicit or intimate settings. Prostitution is also a recurring theme.

Strong, sometimes graphic, violence is a consistent element. This includes shootouts with multiple fatalities, beatings, stabbings, and instances of torture. While not overly gory, the violence is often impactful and portrays a realistic level of brutality associated with drug cartels and criminal activity. Characters are frequently in peril.

Strong language is used frequently throughout the season, including F-bombs, S-words, and other profanity in both Spanish and English dialogue. Characters use offensive terms in moments of anger, stress, or casual conversation.

Frequent depictions of drug trafficking and consumption, primarily hashish and cocaine. Characters are often seen smoking hashish or snorting cocaine, and there are scenes of drug manufacturing and distribution. Alcohol consumption, including public intoxication and heavy drinking, is also common.

Mature themes include corruption within law enforcement, moral ambiguity, revenge, and the personal toll of fighting crime. The series explores addiction, betrayal, and familial conflict, as characters grapple with their choices and the consequences in a dangerous and morally compromised environment.
