Sex and nudity in Daddy Day Care

Sexual content is very light and mostly consists of brief innuendo. In one scene, a married couple begins to kiss in bed before being interrupted. A child asks where babies come from, but the question is quickly dodged. There is a brief, comedic line of innuendo from one of the dads in reference to a woman's breasts after she mentions she stopped breastfeeding.

Violence and gore in Daddy Day Care

Violence is frequent but entirely comedic and slapstick in nature. Characters endure cartoonish pratfalls, such as being kicked by children (once in the groin), running into doors, and stapling a hand. There is a significant amount of potty humor, including a chaotic diaper-changing scene where a character is urinated on, a child drinks soap and burps bubbles, and a discussion about a child missing the toilet (the mess is not shown). None of the violence results in injury or is presented in a serious manner.

Language in Daddy Day Care

The film's PG rating is for language. There is an incomplete use of the F-word (a character begins to spell it but is cut off), at least one use of 'hell,' and a potentially hard-to-hear use of 'shit.' Name-calling includes a child telling an adult to 'Shut up, butthead!' The profanity is infrequent but notable for a family film.

Drugs, alcohol, and smoking in Daddy Day Care

Substance use is minimal and played for comedic effect. One minor character who runs a dilapidated daycare is briefly seen smoking a cigarette. In two separate scenes, characters joke about giving hyperactive children Ritalin or other drugs to calm them down, but this is presented as a ridiculous and inappropriate suggestion.

Mature themes in Daddy Day Care

The film's primary themes involve job loss, financial insecurity, and changing career paths, as the main characters are laid off at the start of the film. There are also themes of corporate competition, as a rival daycare owner actively sabotages their business out of jealousy. The story ultimately focuses on the positive themes of fatherhood, finding fulfilling work, and the importance of play-based learning for children.
