Sex and nudity in Britannic

There is a staged romantic/sexual sequence between Vera Campbell and the man posing as Chaplain Reynolds (Ernst Tilbach) in which they make love and brief female nudity is visible for an extended moment (IMDb Parents Guide notes female nudity). The scene is played as an emotional turning point that leads to later betrayal; it is not pornographic but is explicit enough that parents should expect toplessness and intimacy. One on-screen lovemaking scene is the main sexual content in the picture.

Violence and gore in Britannic

Violence ranges from fistfights and a lethal mutiny to explosions, gunshots, and gruesome disaster imagery. A saboteur sets off an engine-room blast that causes severe flooding; later a lifeboat is pulled into spinning propellers and smashed with bloody consequences, and a character is killed during the mutiny. There are on-screen injuries, visible blood in at least one shooting, and an on-screen suicide staged amid the sinking — overall the film contains strong, sometimes graphic, peril and death.

Language in Britannic

Language is mild and occasional — mostly shouted orders, curses and exclamations appropriate to high-stress scenes (men shouting at one another during the mutiny and the sinking). Expect a few rough words but not sustained profanity or repeated strong swearing.

Drugs, alcohol, and smoking in Britannic

Brief, casual alcohol use and smoking appear in a couple of short scenes (officers drinking in the wardroom; a soldier smoking in a corridor). These moments are incidental and not glamourized; substance use is brief and not central to the plot.

Mature themes in Britannic

The film is grounded in wartime themes: espionage, betrayal, grief, survivor trauma (Vera is a Titanic survivor) and the moral cost of war. There are multiple on-screen deaths, a child's disappearance during the sinking, and an ethical conflict when a trusted figure is revealed as an enemy agent. The emotional weight of loss and sacrifice is sustained across the second half of the film.
