Tierra Incognita (2022) Parents Guide: Is the series OK for kids?

Sexual content is very light. There is one brief, chaste kiss between two characters in the first episode. Romantic interest is implied between Eric and Lila, but it does not lead to any explicit or suggestive scenes.

This season features moderate to strong supernatural violence. Characters are frequently in peril, attacked by a monstrous entity, or shown in struggle. There are jump scares, some depictions of blood (though not graphic gore), and characters being dragged or restrained by the entity. Fights are present but generally not graphically violent.

Mild language is used occasionally, including words like 'shut up,' 'crap,' 'brat,' 'idiot,' and 'stupid.' These are generally used in moments of frustration or argument between characters.

Alcohol consumption is present, primarily featuring adult characters drinking wine or other alcoholic beverages in social or casual settings. There are scenes depicting bottles of alcohol, but intoxication is not a recurring plot point.

Central themes include loss, grief, and abandonment, as Eric searches for his missing parents. The series also deals with themes of fear, courage, and confronting the unknown, with characters frequently putting themselves in dangerous situations to uncover truths. Trust and betrayal among friends are also explored.
