DTF St. Louis (2026) Parents Guide: Is the series OK for kids?

The season contains frequent and graphic sexual content. This includes multiple explicit sex scenes with implied but not fully depicted penetration, extensive male frontal nudity shown via a Playgirl magazine and internet searches, and discussions of infidelity and sexual acts. A picture of a nude man and pornographic images are significant plot elements.

Violence is mild for much of the season, focused on implied harm or tense situations. Later episodes feature an accidental death that becomes a central plot point, and some instances of emotional manipulation and threats. There are occasional intense scenes but no graphic gore or sustained physical brutality.

Strong profanity is pervasive throughout the season. Words like "f**k," "sh*t," "a**hole," and various sexual expletives are used frequently by multiple characters in casual conversation, during arguments, and in moments of stress.

Mild substance use is present, primarily discussions of alcohol consumption. Characters are occasionally seen drinking, but intoxication is not a frequent plot point. One episode features a character taking medication, but illicit drug use is absent.

Mature themes are central to the series, including marital infidelity, betrayal, sexual deviance, psychological manipulation, and murder. The show explores the dark consequences of extramarital affairs, the breakdown of trust, and the moral ambiguity of its characters as they become entangled in a criminal investigation.
