The film contains only light innuendo and a single scene where a character cross-dresses as a woman to evade capture; it is comedic rather than suggestive.

There are several scenes of moderate slapstick action, such as soldiers firing tranquilizer darts, car chases, and characters being knocked unconscious. None of the violence is graphic or bloody.

Language is limited to a few instances of mild profanity or name-calling, typically used in a humorous or argumentative context between the main characters.

The plot involves a chemical serum used by the antagonist to achieve eternal youth, which is treated as a magical or scientific plot device rather than realistic drug use.

The narrative includes mild political themes, such as a military coup d'état, and interpersonal conflicts involving family neglect and dishonesty, all handled within a family-adventure framework.

HOUBA! On the Trail of the Marsupilami runs 105 minutes, directed by Alain Chabat, released in 2012.
