Restaurant to Another World (2017) Parents Guide: Is the series OK for kids?

The season includes some mild suggestive character designs, primarily with female characters or mythical creatures like lamias who are sometimes depicted in revealing clothing or with their bodies emphasized. There is a brief scene with implied nudity in Episode 8 when Rorona transforms and is seen from the chest up with strategically placed bubbles, echoing a theme from the previous season. Episode 5 features a lamia character with exposed cleavage.

Violence is mild and mostly implied or depicted non-graphically. Characters sometimes recount past battles or dangerous situations, such as a knight fighting monsters or a hunter dealing with beasts, but these are not shown in detail. There are no graphic injuries or sustained fight sequences. Fantasy creatures occasionally have sharp claws or fangs, but these are for character design rather than violent action.

Mild language is rarely heard. Characters may express frustration or surprise with terms like 'damn' or 'hell' in a low-key manner, but strong profanity is consistently absent. Dialogue primarily revolves around food, cultural exchange, and character backstories.

Alcohol is depicted moderately throughout the season. Patrons of the restaurant, who are fantasy creatures, are shown casually drinking various alcoholic beverages like beer, sake, and wine. There is no emphasis on intoxication, and the drinking is always portrayed as part of a meal or social interaction.

Mild themes of poverty, social struggle, and past hardships are occasionally explored through character backstories. Many characters from the parallel world face challenges like hunger, war, or prejudice, finding solace and escape in the restaurant. These themes are generally resolved positively within the context of the story, emphasizing comfort and community.
