Psychic Princess (2018) Parents Guide: Is the series OK for kids?

Romantic tension between Qian Yunxi and Prince Ye Youming continues to build, with passionate glances, embraces, and implied intimacy. Some innuendo regarding concubines and marital expectations is present, but no explicit sexual content or nudity is shown.

The season features frequent stylized combat involving psychic powers, martial arts, and sometimes weapons like swords or daggers. The violence is often magical with energy blasts and telekinetic attacks. It is non-graphic, with no blood or gore, and characters typically recover quickly from injuries, consistent with action-cartoon framing. Perilous situations and threats are common, such as characters being attacked by magical creatures or rival factions.

The language used is generally clean. There are occasional instances of mild exclamations or insults, but nothing stronger than what would be heard in typical family programming.

Characters are occasionally seen drinking wine or other alcoholic beverages during meals or social events. This is depicted casually and does not involve intoxication or focus on substance abuse.

Themes include deception, political intrigue, and loyalty within the royal court. Yunxi often deals with themes of abandonment from her past and the struggle to find her place and protect those she cares about. There are also elements of magical curses and spiritual possession, which add a mild supernatural theme.
