Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018) Parents Guide: Is the series OK for kids?

Sexual content is stronger this season. Episodes feature suggestive rituals where characters wear revealing clothing (negligees) and engage in implied sexual acts, though no full nudity is shown. There are frequent instances of sexual innuendo and discussions of polyamory, lust, and seduction associated with dark magic. Embraces and kissing are common, with some passionate encounters.

This season contains strong, often graphic violence. This includes multiple instances of throat-slitting with visible blood and gore, characters being stabbed or impaled, and scenes of dismemberment or body horror (e.g., an arm turning into a tree). Demonic attacks result in severe injuries or deaths. While not always explicit, the aftermath is often bloody and disturbing, such as a character having their heart removed and eaten onscreen. Intense magical battles are also frequent.

Mild to moderate profanity is present, including words like "bitch," "asshole," and "damn." These are used periodically in moments of frustration or anger, primarily by teenage characters and sometimes by adults in heightened situations. The language is consistent with a TV-14 rating, not excessively frequent.

Central themes include identity, destiny versus free will, and the corrupting influence of power, especially as Sabrina struggles with her dual nature. Devotion to the Dark Lord and themes of sacrifice, both voluntary and involuntary, are prominent. Death, grief, and resurrection are recurring plot points. Other themes include betrayal, mental manipulation, and the exploration of dark desires and ambition, often through demonic influence.
