Contains brief moments of mild innuendo, including suggestive posters in the background, brief glimpses of Plankton's rear, and human characters in standard swimsuit attire.

Features frequent slapstick, cartoonish action involving weapons like spears and swords, and mech-suit battles. All violence is stylized, non-human, and lacks realistic consequences, qualifying for the animation modifier.

No profanity is present in the film. Some dialogue contains mild double-entendres related to fictional institutions like Bikini State University, but nothing explicit.

There is no on-screen consumption of alcohol, drugs, or smoking, but the ship's engine is powered by potatoes which are referenced frequently as a fuel source.

The narrative centers on relationship dynamics, the importance of empathy, and the consequences of being selfish. These concepts are explored through a comedic lens.

Plankton: The Movie runs 83 minutes, directed by Dave Needham, released in 2025.
